You want to know what 2009 is going to be like? Well, I am going to tell you, so read on! (...)

You want to know what 2009 is going to be like? Well, I am going to tell you, so read on!

But first I want to tell you something else: 2009 is going to be the best year ever for me and all people surrounding who will be open enough to listen. Why, how? Because I know it. Because I can see it and feel it. Because it is my clearest, surest and most definite intention.

Now I am going to tell you what 2009 is going to be like for you. There are two possibilities and I invite you to choose.

First, you can carry on as you are. You can keep listening to what people say, to the radio and watch bad news on TV or read the big bad titles in the newspapers. You can look around in stores and pretend that they are empty, you can count the people who have lost their jobs with everybody else, you can remain convinced that Wall Street is falling apart and that Real Estate will never be the same again, and so on and so forth… you can fall into the trap of the media and general negative propaganda so dear to the Western World!

And then 2009 is going to be a seriously gloomy year for you. Not only all of the above is going to happen but you are also likely to get sick, depressed and unhappy. Yes, maybe some of you are in dire straits, but there is a solution. And listening to more of your troubles experienced by others is certainly not going to help!

Second scenario now: As of today, you are going to start thinking of what you WANT to happen for you in 2009. You are going to think strongly about it and select all the important changes you want in the next twelve months. You are going to write them down and on January 2nd, you are going to sit with your partner, husband, wife, kids, brother, sister, best buddy, soul mate, whoever you want and you are going to share them.

You are not just going to list them. You are going to LIVE them. You are going to describe them and feel them and make the people who are listening get as excited for you as you are going to feel as you are telling your stories. If one of your wishes is to get a new car, you are not just going to find a picture to show them but you are going to tell them what you are going to do with the car, like drive across from Florida to California with your kids and stop in the best hotels or camp in the wilderness…

And then when you are done and all excited, that you feel that you are going to get these things, achieve these goals, you are going to stop being a sheep and follow the crowds. You are going to stop watching the news and reading newspapers. You are going to stop watching useless programs on TV that make you believe life should be s certain way. If you don't believe me, please just humor me and try in just for two weeks. Just for two weeks, make an effort to stop watching TV and listening to the radio or read newspapers. And avoid all conversations where people talk about the recession (?) and the crisis and "oh, what is the world coming to?". Please just try it.

The last thing that I'd like you to do is to keep the list you just made. Make a better copy maybe, more legible and with pictures and keep it by your bed. Every night, let it be the last thing you look at before you go to sleep and think about it. If you are not alone in bed, share it again and again. Say what you are going to do and get and let yourself fall asleep, still talking. If you are alone in bed, just do the same. If one of your wishes is to get a husband or wife to share the bed with, he/she will be there even faster! And please, don't stop after a week, just keep at it. There are 365 days in 2009.

I am not making these things up. Many very successful and happy people talked about it before me and lived the life they desired. But too many people have forgotten. We live in a negative world, we live in a Matrix created by too many people thinking and attracting the same negativity based on a selection of so called "news" miles from reality and with no perspective. "News" where the glass is always at least three quarters empty instead of half full.

I believe that 2009 is going to mark the beginning of a new era. Not because of politicians or religious leaders or military leaders. Only because of PEOPLE leaders. People who know that the world is a good place to be, when you look at it properly.

It is your decision, only yours.

It has been just a couple of months since you had a baby, and there are 2 wardrobes full of baby clothes. This sure will be an expensive affair. More than this, there is another issue. (...)

It has been just a couple of months since you had a baby, and there are 2 wardrobes full of baby clothes. This sure will be an expensive affair. More than this, there is another issue. It is the problem of dealing with the baby clothes that have been used already.

There are several ways in which this problem can be dealt. These clothes can be donated to underprivileged kids. In case one of your friends has a similar aged baby, it will be useful, or it might be useful in case you have another kid. The other clothes can be donated to Salvation Army. These places are a great find for giving out the gently used clothes.

Other clothes that are used to mark the special occasions like baptism, first Christmas etc, can be saved up in a place to cherish the memories. It is always good to store these dresses in a trunk from the craft store, with all sorts of decorations on them. This trunk can be filled with mementos like the bracelet from the hospital, the first blanket etc. As the baby grows, there will be a lot more things that can be added to it. These are the best ways to preserve memories of your child. This might not get the immediate appreciation, but someday, the kid sure will appreciate this act.

Using the old material from the baby clothing to make a new set of baby clothing is a very good way to save money and use the materials more than what they were expected to. Making a patchwork tee shirt, and converting a pant into a shorts are all good ways to cut down the pennies.

Another useful thing that can be done using the baby clothes is using them for stuffing cute toys. In case your baby cannot wear one of your favorite clothes due to size constraints, it would be a great idea to use these clothes to make a stuffed toy. These are best ways to preserve the memories. The same thing is done with socks and jeans.

In case you are a very creative person, there is another way to save up your kid's small sized clothing. This can be done by stitching up a quilt. The small pieces of the baby's clothing can be used to make a full sized quilt with a lot of patchwork on it. It can be used on their bed when they grow up. These kinds of gifts will receive a great appreciation from your kid and his sentimental value towards these objects will be way higher. These are great gifts during a graduation day, or a wedding day.

In case you have plans of settling for another kid, then that itself acts as a way to get rid of the old clothes. The old used clothes can be thrown in the storage area, and can be used as clothing for the next kid. But, it must be ensured that the clothes must be as good as new and must be completely laundered.

In the first place, you're the envy of many people, excluding the ones who are crazy. Small town life is better suited for human beings. (...)

In the first place, you're the envy of many people, excluding the ones who are crazy. Small town life is better suited for human beings. We were not meant to be crammed into 20-story skyscrapers that are less like apartments than filing cabinets for people. We were not meant to spend three hours per day in traffic. We shouldn't have to smoke cigarettes just to clean the smog out of our lungs.

Like breaking a bad habit, it will take some time before you lose your big-city ways and settle down with the locals. The locals can tell that you're from the big city. They can't miss it. They see the way you hug the walls and dart everywhere, speak only when spoken to, and drive your car like you stole it. You're either from the big city or seriously antisocial.

Your tempo of life will be exceptionally out of place the first year. This is because the big city has no tempo of life. It has a frenzy. The small town has a tempo, and it will gradually make itself known to you. It will come out in the way the postman gets to your door just before sunset, the stores all close by suppertime, and every driver on the road gives you the right of way. They'll gently nudge you into their way of thinking when they surprise you by remembering your name the next time you walk in the store, and indeed by caring what it was in the first place.

Just after you've moved to a small town is the best time to take some vacation from work. Give yourself a reason to sleep in a couple of mornings, then just tour around the town and take your time getting to know it. You won't have your potentially hectic job getting in your way, so you'll be able to relax. You'll also have a couple of nights to sit up in bed wondering what that sound is. Oh… it's crickets.

Big cities make you a little paranoid, and it will take some time for that twitchy reaction reflex to go away. You no longer need a crowbar to defend yourself from beggars and panhandlers in front of the store. Look around and notice the lack of graffiti and vandalism. Start your day with the local TV news; where before you got to hear an endless stream of shootings, robberies, and kidnappings, now a water main breaks in the town's only park - and it's the story of the day!

Shopping will be a pinch. Businesses in small towns tend to be limited in options and to close early. This is a good time to brush up on your online buying, since the Internet gives you so much more variety. But look for quirky little shops that you wouldn't find in a big city; for there lives the soul of a small town. Be ready for a slower pace on shopping day. The clerk will be talkative and candid, and any locals you bump into there will be going on about the weather like they've never seen it before.

Where do they have the fun in this town? Well, fun is what you make of it. If you're single, you're going to have a tough time of it. Small towns are for families, where you have the kids running around so much that boredom is a welcome relief, and where mum and dad make their own recreation after the kids are in bed. Don't miss the community attractions, though - go see that World's Largest Ball of Twine and get your picture taken next to the giant plaster Mexican Tyrannosaurus Rex wearing the sombrero outside the tacquieria. Spot some trains, chase a kangaroo, and go fishing for trout. Isn't that what you came for?

Don't worry, the natives know that they have a boring life, and they compensate. That's where all the goofy pumpkin-bowling contests and line-dancing nights come from. If there is a bar within city limits, it will be infected with the karaoke virus. Getting so drunk that you can't control your singing used to be just something annoying that people did, but now it has a name and they charge extra on the drinks for those nights and there's a club to join for it. It got popular because it turned out to be a great way for 40-year-old singles to hook up. It's easy to find a date when you're all at someplace that's guaranteed to be stocked with people who have nothing better to do at the moment.

Just know that once you've adjusted to small town life, you can't go back to the large city again. You've culled yourself from the herd. You'll just take off walking across an intersection forgetting that you can get flattened by the next SUV driven by the Starbucks-addict on her cell phone. You'll greet a stranger on the street and his response will be to mug you. And you'll never be able to sleep there, because you're used to not sharing a wall with neighbors. No, it's too chancy to risk. Just stay in the small town circuit and let the rest of the world drive each other crazy.
